Middle School Scrimmages
For Middle School Rugby: We had a great practice last night. This Saturday, we have scheduled a touch rugby scrimmage against several teams including Jesuit, Bayou Hurricanes, and Northshore/St. Pauls. The scrimmage will take place from 11-12:30ish. Jesuit is playing St. Pauls at 1p in a high school match. I encourage all families to stay and watch, or at least the boys so they can see what the next step for them is entering high school. Middle School Rugby is Here!
Middle School rugby is getting started throughout the state. We have teams starting in New Orleans, Covington, Raceland and Shreveport. All boys and girls in grades 6-8 are welcome to attend. Players will be introduced to the game and we will focus on rugby skills, game play, and fitness. All skill levels welcome! Our goal is to have at least as many middle school rugby teams as high school teams in the area within 3 years. For the New Orleans team practice is weekly at 6:

Youth Rugby Starting Back Up 2017
Good Morning Rugby Community, Youth Rugby is starting back up for the Spring semester! I am looking for coaches to help out at Audubon Charter (right next to Tulane and Audubon Park), Encore Academy, and Phillis Wheatley Community School. Revised Fall Youth Rugby Schedule
See the revised youth rugby schedule below. First time players are welcome at all of these events! Teams will be made up of local after school programs and play short games against each other. Local Summer Sevens in New Orleans
There will be two social 7's tournaments in New Orleans for the remainder of the summer. The dates are:
Saturday July 16
Saturday August 6 (this is a slight change from the last e-mail due to conflicts)
There will be two brackets:
1-High School (must have been eligible for last year's high school league, i.e., just graduated in May)
2-Men's social bracket

Summer Touch Starting Up - Tues & Thurs
Community summer touch is starting up tomorrow (Tuesday May 10th). Touch will be from about 6pm until dark or everyone is tired, generally around 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Location is going to be at the same field as last year, Pratt Park. Everyone is invited to play and it is a great way to introduce the game to new people. 2016 League Championship April 30th Pan American Stadium, City Park
The 2016 Louisiana Rugby Championship will be April 30th at Pan American Stadium in City Park, New Orleans, LA. A draft schedule is below with games starting at 10:00 AM. The High School Championship will begin at 7:30 PM. Other highlights during the day are some Rookie Rugby matches for ages 7-12.
