Youth Rugby Coach Development Program
Louisiana Rugby is aiming to expand our Coach Development Program. Louisiana Rugby has recruited new coaches from high schools and colleges in the greater New Orleans area. These developing coaches are paired with experienced coaches to assist with youth rugby practices, camps, and games.

The Coach Development Program focuses on giving high school and college students leadership and community engagement opportunities in their community working with younger students. Coaches will serve as positive role models for younger students while passing along rugby values of teamwork, camaraderie, and respect. Coaches also receive a stipend of $20 per hour.

All coaches must obtain their USA Rugby Level 100 Coaching Certification. This certification includes a biennial background check, player protection package, and the U.S. Olympic Committee Safe Sport course.
