GAME PLAN 2.5

Baton Rouge Area Youth Rugby invites girls and boys ages 6-14 of all skill levels to join us in the 5 weeks of flag rugby that will take place every Saturday beginning March 5, 9am-11am and will end wrap up April 2 at the Highland Road Rugby Pitch.  Each week is a building block to p reparing each athlete to play flag rugby to develop and reinforce ball handling skills, , so it is important to attend each week.  Each athlete will be divided according to age and skill levels to not only learn skills of communication, leadership and teamwork, but to simply have a great time playing outside.

No prior experience is required since players will be coached by USA Rugby certified players in the fastest growing non-traditional sport in the nation.  Each new registrant will receive an official NOLA Gold Rugby ball, a team shirt, water bottle, tote bag and a memorable experience with skills that will carry into everyday life; on and off the field.

SATURDAY'S A RUGBY DAY (Check-in 8:45am Check-in, Kick-off 9am and Wrap-up 11am)

March 5 (Eyes of Rugby: Youth Rugby Fundraising Campaign and Kick-off of 2nd Five Weeks), March 12, 26, April 2, and 9 2022. *In observance to the St. Patty's weekend, there will be NO RUGBY March 19th.

Cost:  New Registrant $60

             Returnee $50

             Multiple family $45/Sibling 

*Scholarships available upon request.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

* Tennis shoes (non-metal toed soccer cleats are recommended, but not necessary)

* Comfortable athletic shorts

* Waterbottle

* A great attitude to play!

COACHING INTEREST

Coach training will be available for anyone 18 years and old. Must pass background check and complete online BREC training. *Parents who are interested in coaching and complete the certification by March 1st will have their youth's registeration fee waived.
