Baton Rouge Area Youth Rugby: 4th Annual Winter Clinic
Time & Location
About the Event
Baton Rouge Area Youth Rugby presents the (free) 4th Winter Rugby Clinic in the first ever collaboration with BREC to introduce a non-traditional sport to the youth in the Baton Rouge area. Ages 6-13 will be taught by USA Rugby certified coaches the basics of Rookie Rugby. Rookie Rugby is non-contact and focuses on a simplified version of rugby played with flag belts. The rules and programs of Rookie Rugby encourage child development, healthy activity, fair play, fun and safety. This year’s theme is “Rugby Workshop (Winter Clinic): Little Helpers Makin' Big Plays!”
Youth will learn individual skills to play together to provide the “gift” of rugby, while learning to be healthy through informational materials provided by our local community health organizations. Whether you've been on the pitch or never stepped foot, this Winter Clinic: "Rugby Workshop" IS NOT to be missed!
Dress accordingly in layers to Louisiana weather, wear comfortable running shoes (cleats recommended, but not required) and be PREPARED to have a jolly time!
