Exciting Announcement: Winter Youth Rugby Season 2024 🌟

Get ready for a season of fun and growth, kicking off on Saturday, January 6, with practices every Saturday on January 13 and 20, from 8:30 am to 11:30 am! Join us for two tournaments: January 27 at Coquille Covington and February 3 at the New Orleans Mardi Gras Tournament. 

This is an open invitation for girls and boys aged 6-14 to be part of an incredible journey.

No rugby experience? No worries! We've got the training covered, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

WHAT TO EXPECT

FIRST PRACTICE: January 6, 2024

Practices will be every Saturday (Jan. 13 and 20) at BREC Highland Road Rugby Pitch

8:30 am  Check-in

9:00 am Kick-off

11:15 am Wrap-up

2024 Winter Tournament Schedule:

Coquille 7s, Jan. 27 (Coquille Parks & Rec, Covington)

44th Mardi Gras Tournament, Feb. 3 (LaSalle Park, Metairie)

Fees

$65 (early registration Dec. 26-31)

$80 (Jan 1-6, 2024)

Covers team jersey, waterbottle, and tote bag.

$15 (flag, 6-14) or $50 (tackle, 11-17)

Athletes need to be registered through Rugby Xplorer for USA Rugby/LA Rugby Membership, which allows youth to compete. Once USA Rugby registration is completed, please email confirmation to: Teresa@Louisianarugby.org

REGISTRATION

There are 3 steps to registering: 

(1) Complete USA Rugby/LA Rugby Rugby Form (Rugby Xplorer, registration is valid for a 2024 )

   a. For our flag/non-contact players, the registration fee is just $15

   b. If you're an older player (11 and older) gearing up for tackle in the summer, secure your spot with a $50 registration so that you won't be required to re-register.

(2) Player Registration Form 

(3) SIGN up for Team Communciations with "band"

Travel expenses not included. Overnight accommodations are not required. To keep expenses low, youth are encouraged to support local fundraising efforts . 

*Scholarships available upon request.
