2021 YOUTH RUGBY

This session of youth rugby will be structured a little differently. 

The 5-7 age bracket will be learning the basics of rugby through small sided games and drills.

The 8-12 age bracket will progress to more skilled drills and will compete in flag teams with game play (complete with refs, scores etc.) every week for the 5 week session. 

Who

Spring Youth Rugby is available to all children between the ages

of 6-12.

Where

City Park Rugby Field, at the corner of Marconi and Harrison Ave. (Now with Lights!)

When

Mondays July 12 - Aug 9 (Plus any rain outs), 6-7pm (5 sessions)

Why

Rugby is a fun, fluid, fast-paced game that focuses on building strength, stamina, and most importantly, teamwork on and off the field. The people that you play rugby with (and even against!) will become lifelong friends that extend well beyond the final whistle. Rugby also offers players increased confidence and self-respect, as the ultimate character-building sport. It fosters courage, fitness, team effort and togetherness, bringing together boys and girls from all backgrounds.

Louisiana Rugby Registration

Registration is open to boys and girls ages 6-12, registration is $45.00 for all 5 (or $10 for a single session) and can be done online through LouisianaRugby.org. For any questions about the Youth Rugby Program, please contact Nick Feakes at nick@nolagoldrugby.com or 636 541 3011.

USA Rugby Annual Membership

All particpants are required to register once per year (resets sept 1) with USA Rugby.  For this program the cost is only $20.  If you haven't registered yet please go to https://www.louisianarugby.org/usarugby-registration and complete your once per year registration.  This registration alows us to have insurance, coach education and coach background checks among other key benefits.
