In an opportunity to scrimmage against Brother Martin and St. Paul High Schools, Warren Easton battled against some of the best athletes in the area to experience the True South traditions.

Why is this a "Rebirth?"
Due to covid and many other factors- Warren Easton Rugby ended as the 2015 Royal Honda 7s Champions. Now in 2023, under the leadership of Coach Matt Austin, the former coach of the NOLA Barbarians, he is resurrecting the talent and legacy of the oldest school in New Orleans- Warren Easton.

Easton's Boys' Rugby Team Wins Championship!
Congratulations to Easton's Boys' Rugby Team! The boys' rugby team brought home the Royal Honda 2015 7 on 7 Championship Trophy on Saturday, April 18, 2015, with a shut out victory over New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy at Pan American Stadium. Great job, Eagles!!
In addition to a successful team season, three of Easton's players received All State honors.
First Team: Johnathan Mariano (sophomore) - Flanker
Second Team: Jonathan Johnson (senior) - Fullback
Honorable Mention: Darryl Davis (junior) - Scrumhalf
Johnathan Mariano and Jonathon Johnson had outstanding tryouts for the USA South Under 19 team. Both young men are invited to the final team tryouts in Tennessee this May.
This was the first year of rugby at Easton with 18 boys and 5 girls participating. Next year, we hope to have more girls actively involved so they can have a team as well. Super job, Mrs. Lucker!
