Baton Rouge Area Youth Rugby will begin with an introduction to rugby from former USA Eagle/ Women's Rugby Captain and 1st ever women to coach professional men's rugby Coach Tiffany Faaee at the HBCU Rugby Classic. Don't miss this great opportunity! *Open to all adults & youth of levels of play.

About the Event
The annual HBCU Rugby Classic will take place on May 1st with a Rugby 101 presented in partnership with ROOTS Rugby of New York. This IS your opportunity to experience from the trail blazin' FIRST EVER woman to coach a men's professional rugby US team and former USA Eagle/ USA Women's Rugby Team Captain, and head coach of Monroe College Tiffany Faa'ee. Attendees will experience rugby first-hand, perfect for all ages and levels!
You can't afford to be late with rugby 7s since the game is only 14 minutes with 7 minute halves, compared to a traditional 80 minute match. Â All are highly encouraged to stay and watch the matches with the first kick-off at 11am. Stay and cheer on Louisiana Lagniappe Women's Club as they play against Roots at 11:25 am. The matches will be quick among the visiting teams of Prairieville A & M, Memphis Inner City Youth, ROOTS Rugby (Men & Women) with the last match at 5:19pm. The grand finale for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be Sunday beginning at 12 pm with an award ceremony at 2:30pm.
