Our next Nola Gold & Louisiana Rugby youth program is open for registration! The session will run from Jan 30th - March 6th on Monday nights 5:30-6:30pm. Previous experience is not required and is open to boys and girls ages 6-12.

About the Event

2023 GOLD YOUTH RUGBY - CITY PARK

Who:

Spring Youth Rugby is available to all boys and girls between the ages of 6-12.

Location & Time:

New Orleans City Park Rugby Pitch. 6010 Marconi Dr, New Orleans, LA 70124, USA

Monday nights for 6 weeks from January 30th - March 4th (Plus any rain outs), 5:30-6:30 (6 sessions)

*we'll see what people want to do for Lundi Gras Feb 20th - we'll either practice or skip that week and add a session at the end

Game Plan:

Louisiana Youth Rugby invites girls and boys ages 6-12 of all skill levels to join us for 6 weeks of flag rugby that will take place every Monday beginning January 30th and will wrap up March 4th at the City Park Rugby Pitch. Each week is a building block preparing each athlete to play flag rugby. Flag Rugby is a fun, fast-paced game that focuses on building skills, fitness, and teamwork on and off the field. Each athlete will be divided according to age and skill levels to not only learn skills of communication, leadership and teamwork, but to simply have a great time playing outside. Rugby also offers players increased confidence and self-respect, as the ultimate character-building sport. It fosters courage, fitness, team effort and togetherness, bringing together boys and girls from all backgrounds.

Equipment Needed:

* Tennis shoes (non-metal toed soccer cleats are recommended, but not necessary)

* Comfortable athletic shorts

* Waterbottle

* A great attitude to play!

Cost & Contacts:

Registration is open to boys and girls ages 6-12, registration for the six sessions is $50.00 (or $10 for a single Monday) and can be done online through LouisianaRugby.org. For any questions about the Youth Rugby Program, please contact George Sharpe at george.sharpe2020@outlook.com

USA Rugby Annual Membership

All particpants are required to register once per year (resets sept 1) with USA Rugby.  For this program the cost is only $20.  If you haven't registered yet please go to https://myaccount.rugbyxplorer.com.au/dashboard and complete your once per year registration.  This registration alows us to have insurance, coach education and coach background checks among other key benefits.
